By car
From Pontarlier, follow signs for Malbuisson and then Mouthe: Labergement-Sainte-Marie is about twenty minutes away. Free parking spaces are available right outside the building. In winter, France's mountain law applies: from 1 November to 31 March, you need at least all-season or winter tyres, or snow chains in the boot.
By train
The nearest stations are Frasne, served by the Paris – Lausanne TGV high-speed train, and Pontarlier, both about 20 minutes away. Shuttles run between Frasne station and Labergement-Sainte-Marie. Once here, a car is useful to enjoy the area, but a car-free weekend in Labergement-Sainte-Marie is quite possible: the lake, all the useful shops and several visits (honey farm, cheese dairy, bell foundry, Maison de la Réserve nature centre…) are within walking distance.

The nearest airport is Geneva, about a 1 h 30 drive via Vallorbe.
From Switzerland
The Swiss border is only 17 km away (about 25 minutes): the apartment is easy to reach from Vallorbe, the canton of Vaud and the Neuchâtel area, for a quiet weekend by the lakes of the Haut-Doubs.
